Chief Information Officers (CIOs) Training In India

Information and communication technology (ICT) is being used in almost all organisations these days. Whether it is a private company or a government department, ICT is essentially involved in day to day affairs of the same. We are also in the process of adopting use of e-governance in India under the National e-Governance Plan (NEGP) that was launched in May 2006

With the proposed Electronic Delivery of Services Bill (EDS) 2011 of India, an enhanced focus is given to citizen centricity, service orientation and transparency through e-governance projects. E-delivery of services India would further bring transparency, accountability, fairness and lack of corruption.

If India is considering such an ambitious project, it is obvious that skilled workforce is also required to manage the same. Cyber skills development in India would be required to manage the e-delivery of services in India.

Recently a framework for citizens’ engagement and participation in NEGP was suggested. This is a good step if actually implemented in India. Citizen’s participation in governmental projects can provide the best possible and most suitable results for delivery of public services in India. Similarly, Public private partnerships (PPP) in India now allow a wider participation of private sector in governmental functioning. In fact, crucial fields like internal security and defence sector have been opened up for PPP purposes.

Naturally, specific skills and knowledge are required to drive governmental projects from a concept stage to a full blown implementation and roll-out stage. A deep understanding of factors that result in failure and sustained success of e-governance projects in India is required. Similarly, chief information officer (CIOs) training in India is also required to managed these ambitious projects efficiently.

Perry4Law Techno Legal Base (PTLB) has been providing techno legal trainings in India for various stakeholders including CIOs. PTLB e-learning platform is providing these techno legal trainings in an online environment to maximise the scope and reach of its trainings.

The position of CIOs in private and governmental projects in India is going to be very important and remunerative. Interested stakeholders and professionals must undertake suitable trainings in this regard so that various posts and openings are available to them when opened.
